1972 Targa Florio Alfa 33TT3

The Vic Elford and Umberto Maglioli driven Porsche 907 is shown racing through Cerda's main streets in this the 52nd Targa Florio. Despite losing 20 minutes due to a wheel and tyre problem during the opening lap, it was the English driver who gave a display of inspired driving to snatch victory from Alfa Romero. He set both a new lap record and a new record speed over the tortuous Little Madonie mountain circuit.
